My experience with “Happier At Home” has been very rewarding. From the first in-home interview to the completion of my service, everything was done in a very professional, efficient and caring manner.

My husband, Frank had been through two surgeries in a short period of time and I had dealt with several other home care and therapy companies, none of which seemed to know what they were doing. There was a big lack of communication. At “Happier At Home” Debbie is always available and anxious to help if there is a problem. She takes a personal interest in each client.

After a thorough interview, Debbie set me up with Martha, who was an excellent choice for my husband. On the first visit, Martha quickly analyzed his case. Even though he was a difficult and stubborn individual, she managed to get him to talk about his interests.

Martha was always prompt, looked sharp and had a very effervescent personality. She was anxious to hear my comments on how he reacted to certain situations and thus she was able to understand him. She was also very willing to do some household chores for me, which was a great help.

All in all, I was very satisfied with “Happier At Home” and would highly recommend them.

I have been using the services of Happier At Home since January 2008. Since having a stroke several years ago, I have had three previous aides, so I can tell you that the aides from Happier At Home are better trained and more professional.

I can’t begin to tell you everything my Happier At Home aide does for me – there is so much – but I will try to tell you some of what she does. She helps me with my morning routines and keeps my home immaculate. She keeps me up to date on my bills and reminds me of appointments, often taking me to them. She does my shopping and even saves coupons and watches for sale prices on the items I regularly need. I rely on her for medication reminders and to keep my medications up to date. She assists in care of my cat and he looks forward to seeing her each morning as much as I do! With her help I have been able to get out to shop, visit friends and go for nature walks.

Most importantly, my aide makes me feel safe and secure with all the little things she does for me. She makes me laugh and helps me forget my aches and pains. Happier At Home has made a big difference in my life and I would recommend them to others.

I wish I could think of novel ways to say thank you, but I can’t, so I will just say that knowing I can call you when I feel lost, confused, overwhelmed, or panicky is a huge comfort.  If you ever need a reference or have someone who wants to talk to someone who has used your company, I would be more than happy to be or do so.

After a fall and rehab in 2008, my 89 year old mom desperately wanted to remain in her home as long as possible. I contacted Happier at Home, and Debbie was quick to respond and in 2 days had caregivers in place. Martha and Beth were absolutely wonderful. I never had to worry that they would not be there, and they did whatever needed to be done to help my mom. After I broke my ankle they effortlessly took over the chores I did for mom so I could recover without worry. I could not have asked for 2 better or more caring individuals to care for my mom. Because of them, my mom truly was “Happier at Home!”
